I wear a few hats. Professionally I alternate between calling myself a journalist and sports marketing consultant. My background is in print, writing about adventure sports & athletes and travel for the likes of the Daily Telegraph and the FT’s How to Spend It; and more vertical channels such as Trail Running and Men’s Fitness. For the last few years I’ve been based in Salzburg, Austria, working on various content providing projects for clients such as Red Bull, Suunto and Odlo with the agency zooom productions. I was chief editor at the launch of redbull.com/adventure and helped to grow that channel into the #1 most popular page on redbull.com. Since going self-employed in September 2015, I’ve taken on Cat Phones as a client and returned to writing for editorial publications.

When I’m not behind a desk, I like to spend as much time in the outdoors as possible and love to compete in adventure races and other tests of endurance. Over the years, I’ve competed in a few, from the famous Marathon des Sables, to Britain’s Coast to Coast to the 100km course of the UTMB ultra around Mt Blanc. The latest project is the iconic Patrouille des Glaciers ski-mountaineering race across the Swiss Alps from Zermatt to Verbier. I love to suffer!
